Research Interests
Preventing renal disease progression in patients with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease through various interventions.
Understanding the mechanisms of age-associated vascular dysfunction, including endothelial dysfunction, inflammation, and oxidative stress, in healthy middle-aged and older adults.
The efficacy of lifestyle interventions, such as diet, exercise, or supplementation on improving "healthspan" in middle-aged and older adults.
Identifying interventions to improve vascular function in patients with stage three and four chronic kidney disease.
Current Research Projects
The efficacy of statin therapy to slow renal disease progression in young adults with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease.
Platelet mitochondrial respiration as a biomarker of aging and vascular function.
The efficacy of sodium nitrite for improving vascular, motor, and cognitive functions in middle-aged and older adults.
